More and More buttons......

Here they are folks - just a few of the buttons for Joseph's coat......all that has to happen now is for them to be pressed and sewn on.....

Did you see the Super moon last night? I was very excited but my photos were a bit disappointing. I really need to learn how to use Lightroom properly!!

The top one is with the cloud cover the second without. I had hoped to get more clarity.

Joseph's coat with buttons......

Well, Joseph's coat is coming along but the buttons are driving me made. I thought I had made enough but I was way out (of course if I read the instructions I would have known that!) Who reads instructions I hear you ask? Here is some of the quilt ready to be joined together. The fabrics have been fun to work with. I have  added some photos taken in country in Victoria recently - just for interest
More buttons to be added!!
Sunset near Guildford

Reflections off the dam - now it is full of water, thank heavens!

Some of the interesting sand stone rock formations around the place,

Some of my recent efforts:

I have decided I need to actually finish something. My friend has challenged me to complete the Morrell Quilt, which I have from a BOM in 2009. So this is where I am up to......a long way to go!!!

I am also having fun with Joseph's Coat with Buttons, a Chris Serong quilt. You can see the contrast in the colour selection in the two quilts as they progress:

Not happy with the background..........

First up I sewed this back ground on - see:

Too stark,,,,,,,,,,,,,,crisis

Now I have sewed this back ground on better but not 100% happy - it will have to do though:

Hopefully once Desley has woven her magic it will look better.................

Giant Dahlia

This is the first Giant Dahlia I made using Michelle Yeo's pattern. I made it as a gift and was thrilled with how quickly it went together. The fussy cutting makes it so much fun.

I have another friend who is having a big O birthday and thought that a Giant Dahlia might be a good one to do. Here it is as it is being assembled. I need to get a wriggle on as it has to go to Desley very, very soon for quilting!!

New Quilt

I promised myself 'No more new projects' until I had finished some of my multitude of UFO's BUT of course I couldn't wait to start Corliss Searcey's new quilt. This is the first block - so much fun!!!!!!
